OPERATION-COVERT-SNAPSHOT: DOVE SKINCARE AT CARREFOUR PLAZA SINGAPURA

Mar10

Hola!

Last weekend, I trooped to Carrefour at Plaza Singapura to get some stuff and on my way to the checkout, I found 2 displays of DOVE products.  I remember seeing some Dove skincare in Guardian at ION but I didn't really pay much attention to it then.  What really caught my eye at the Dove display at Carrefour was the CLEANSING OIL - it claims to remove heavy mascara even! I quickly checked out a few items and they all seem to be made in Japan - so far, in other drugstores / supermarkets, I remember only seeing Dove haircare (shampoo/conditioner/treatments) and bathing soaps/shower gels and moisturisers (or was I not looking hard enough?).  So I couldn't resist whipping out my cam to take some shots, praying to high heaven that I wouldn't get a telling off from staff.  Here are some Operation-Covert-Snapshots:

These are Facial Cleansers if I remember correctly - rather unsual packaging for facial cleansers!

Check out the price-points - they really seem pretty wallet-friendly!

****************************************************************************

I am totally intrigued by the Cleansing Oil and the alcohol-free toner - I am running out of the alcohol-free toner I use to clean up my makeup/eyeliner boo-boos and this seems to be a good, budget-friendly alternative.

Have you seen or better yet, tried any of these Dove skincare products before???

UPDATE

HARU of RougeDeluxe has posted a great review on the DOVE CLEANSING OIL on her blog in response to my post.  You can check out her review here.  Thank you soooo much Haru!

They probably have an even larger range in other countries - perhaps if this range proves popular, we might get an assortment of other products too. I think I might get the cleansing oil when my Etude House one runs out.

Soph: Its like we have a magnet in us (at least for me!) - i see something that says "I remove mascara" and I'm all over it in an instant! LOL!

Wow Dove skincare, that's such a cool find! Really interested in the makeup removing products and the facial cleasers. Super cute packaging for the cleansers too!

Hey wow! This stuff is crazily marked-up when I saw them in the Japanese drugstores. Now I'm shocked and rather impressed to see that they've been imported into Singapore. Thanks for sharing this dear! :D

This is my first time i saw these Dove products besides their haircare products. And the prices are quite reasonable though. I'm eye-ing on the Alcohol-free toner. Thanks for the heads up, Kaslove! If you didn't post this up, i still wouldn't know. Hehe!!

Sara, AB and Mya: Yeay! I was a little "worried" that I might have been the only one who had been unaware of this range! And the shelf was full - I'm not sure if thats a sign that folks don't quite pay attention to the stuff and don't realise they are relatively new and different products =)

YAY to more options!!!

I just read Iris's review... bummer that it doesn't remove mascara well!! I heard so much goodness about being good at removing waterproof mascara... apparently it kinda hoax!

But I will still get it to try when I ran out of my cleansing oil. (Cos my sis don't use mascara... so it won't be a problems for them)

yea bummer that it doesnt removes mascara well but the foam seems very luxuriously to be slatering it all over our faces, hehe :)

Amy and Chantana: But it removes base makeup well I think. I've never really tried applying cleansing oil directly to my eyes actually!

All: I've updated the post with the LINK TO ROUGEDELUXE'S REVIEW ON THE CLEANSING OIL
