So today was EXPERIMENT DAY - first the failed ones and then I think this one was more successful! Hahaha! I was out today, running errands as usual, and I stopped by Sephora to see if they had the MUFE Camoflage Cream I wanted and a BA there said I looked fresh; a MAC MA later also commented my skin looked glowy ... hmmmm .... ok, so I'm actually quite quite pleased! Haha!
EDIT:
I thought it might make more sense to show my forehead "before-and-after" shots in this entry also, so you can see the effect of the foundation more clearly :)
BEFORE FOUNDATION - Totally bare and devoid of any skincare, primer, base, concealer ... NOTHING! Ahem ... see the pores, acne scars etc? (Sigh)
AFTER LANCOME TEINT MIRACLE FOUNDATION - I applied one thin layer of foundation, waited a minute to for it to settle and built up another thin layer for an even finish. This is the LANCOME TEINT MIRACLE FOUDNATION ONLY - NO primer, base, concealer or powder added. I think my pores look better and you can see there's pretty decent coverage since the acne scars are much less visible.
You can read about the technical details and the features of the foundation in my first entry HERE
You can read more about the viscosity test (which also shows the before and after foundation-on shots) plus swatches of the LANCOME Creme de Brillance Cream Sheens in my 2nd entry HERE

Before I go on to the LOTD shots and the MU Breakdown, I'd just like to mention that I really got SUPER WORRIED after applying the LANCOME TEINT MIRACLE foundation all over my face - it looked sort of off-colour? Not ashy or grey but just looked like a totally different shade as opposed to my skintone. Then as I waited for it to settle and set it with loose powder, it seemed more normal.
I don't want to say it "SELF-ADJUSTED" (because that's a whole different galaxy) but I think there's some balancing action going on? And I also realised for me, the foundation needed a little bit of time to settle and look normal - like how freshly applied powder can look powdery (duh) but after it reacts with the natural oils on your face or with a setting mist, it looks ok? These are just my personal observations and thoughts.
Also, I applied the foundation with my fingers, in case you're wondering - in fact, I ALWAYS apply my foundation with my fingers and the SIGMA Foundation brush in the kit I was recently sent, was the first foundation brush I own! And just so that you know, I did not use any highlighters (neither an all-over highlighter like the Guerlain Butterfly Pearls, nor any cheek highligters).

And how did the foundation hold up on me? I took these shots about 7 hours later, when I got home. While I was out, I blotted twice (which is normal for me) but neither touched up on my powder, concealer, nor lipstick / lip creme for that matter (I ate dinner). However, in the following shot, PLS IGNORE THE EYEBROW AREA - I had gotten a brow wax at BENEFIT at TANGS and the therapist touched up my powder around the brows (so that's cheating right? :P)
Since this was technically the first time I was wearing the foundation out for a prolonged period, its still in experiment stages - just like how I have an established combination of products that I use with my MAC Studio Fix Fluid, I need to find a niche combination for the Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation. For now, I think this combination (mentioned below), seems fine. However, I noticed I look a little sallow in the last shot (taken when I got home); also I notice the foundation faded a little bit on my upper lip but that is very normal for me as I perspire a lot on my upper lip and am always dabbing away.
However, I am quite pleased that apart from the 2 issues I mentioned above, I was very very comfortable wearing the foundation and I didn't think it looked cakey or creases around my laugh lines or mouth; I also don't think that it wore out too much since I can't quite see my acne scars (on my chin, near my upper lip, on my cheek).
So my next experiment with the LANCOME TEINT MIRACLE would be to try it with a different setting powder and this time, with the TEINT MIRACLE MULTI-LIGHTS TOUCH CORRECTOR. But that will be later in the week - I have so much reading to catch up on for now!
